Guided Bird Watching Excursions

The BAYMEN have been active in bird watching, nature observation and study for more than forty years. While at Huntington, Capt. Dave was the Asst. to the Professor of Ornithology. After College, he was a freelance wildlife photographer for many years. Birds were one of his specialties and his images have appeared in over one-hundred magazines.

Capt. Dave & BAYMEN Guide Service, Inc. offers an outstanding bird watching charter for serious birders on the bays of Southeastern Massachusetts & Cape Cod. We search for many species including shorebirds, waterfowl, birds of prey, and songbirds among others, along the beaches, salt marshes, Islands, cliffs, sand bars, dunes, and shorelines of the Massachusetts coast. We bird by boat in all four seasons.

Birders should dress for the weather and bring their own bird identification book, binoculars and/or spotting scope. Polarized eye wear is also recommended. We get very close to many species of birds. They generally are not spooky of our boat and they often give us excellent viewing opportunities to observe and photograph them, up close in their natural environment.

Birding By Boat charters are available all twelve months of the year. Half-day trips are the norm, leaving at sunrise and returning four hours later. Birding charters can be customized to your specific wishes to observe/photograph certain species. For rates and booking information call or e-mail (781) 934-2838 captdaveb@baymencharters.com
