We are at Bass Pro Shops tying flies, casting fly rods, and meeting and talking with all the great folks shopping at our favorite outdoor store…!

On board today, I had the pleasure of fishing with Ger Khang, a well-known angler that fishes both fresh and salt, and has won bass tournaments. Our target this morning was largemouth bass. We got a few nice ones with our biggest over five pounds, along with a mix of pickerel and crappie. We also had a perch and a trout chase our tackle. We fished three ponds on the South Shore of Massachusetts and ended up with eighteen (18) catch and release fish. Not a bad morning…!

We fished a variety of tackle including buzz jets, bico jigs, senkos, rapala stick baits, nitros, rubber frogs, rubber worms, among others. We had many other hits throughout the morning and lost some nice fish at the bait that threw the hooks in a shower of water. Very exciting stuff!

I have two spring dates left for largemouth bass charters. If you want to go, give me a call. I’ll put you on the fish!

We are hunting LM Friday and will post a report and photos of our trip when we get back in. Baymen has a few days left next week if you want to book a guided freshwater trip with us for Trout or Bass. After that, its solid striper charters!

BAYMEN has summer and fall dates still available for striped bass charters on Duxbury, Kingston, Plymouth bays and beyond. Fly, Light Tackle, or Bait trips. Had the pleasure of guiding angler, Peter Fallon, this morning for largemouth bass on Massachusetts South Shore. It was foggy at first light and dead calm. Peter fished fly and LT. We had a total of seven rises. I expected double that, but for some reason, the big fish were not in tight to the brush. Here are a few pics from our morning on the water. Amazingly beautiful!

I was scouting Massachusetts South Shore today for some new waters to fish LM. Found a few, a bunch of poor man’s pike, and some perch. Guiding tomorrow for LM on fly rod poppers. Will post a full report later in the day…

Congratulations to Cliff for once again, landing the first striped bass of the season in Duxbury Bay. Way to go, Cliff!
